Decisions were made by going
"eeny-meeny-miney-moe"
Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!"
"Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest.
Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "monopoly"
Catching fireflies could happily occupy and entire evening
It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.
Being old, referred to anyone over 20.
The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was COOTIES.
Nobody was prettier than Mom
And Nobody was cooler than Dad
Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better
It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the amusement park.
Getting an inch of snow was a dream come true.
Abilities were discovered because of a "double-dog-dare"
Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.

AMEN. I would go back only if I could skip the middle phase and end up right back where I am now!
GREAT post! I couldn't agree more! It was fun to play this morning!
And wasn't it even better because you always won the "race issue" and double dog dare wasn't even neccessary to find out your abilities - you just somehow managed to prove to everyone you were way better than them at anything, especially night games.
i also miss jumping on your trampoline ALL day long in the summer and eating as many otter pops as we could possibly keep down! i also miss that one day when we ate homemade strawberry ice cream and nilla wafers and just rode my dad's golf cart all over jerry's property haha!
Remember that time you guys all dared me to steal Mr. Brown's apples, and then throw them at mailboxes? That was the best. I miss childhood too.
